The paradise island of Koh Samui first achieved fame as a target for gap
year backpackers. But now, according to international property expert Claire
Brown, it’s fast becoming “the Monte Carlo of SE Asia.”
Claire, director of Asian property specialist Claire Brown Realty, says: “Buy a house on one of these islands now is much less about ‘living the
dream’ and much more about making a seriously lucrative investment.”
Thailand, she says, is one of the most promising places in the world to be
investing in.
She adds: “It is quite within the realms of reality to expect to make 70%,
100% or in certain cases 200% gains within something close to three or four
years.”
